The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) is seeking an Information Technology Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting enterprise websites and applications, and ensuring they operate and deliver the expected functionalities and meet the requirements for CSAC's business.

  • Support the technical activities of the CSAC ITSD Application Development Team.
  • Adhere to coding standards and version control process followed by Application Development Team
  • Ensure applications meet the security and efficiency standards.
  • Perform a variety of tasks related to the analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of information technology services for CSAC.
  • Interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels.
  • Plan and prioritize work assignments to meet scheduled releases.
  • Ability to understand design documents such as Data Modeling and UML diagrams.
  • Excellent communication skills and team player with creative and innovative problems solving abilities.
  • Strong relationship management skills, enthusiastic and self-driven, with a high degree of commitment.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, including the ability to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities, work under pressure, meet deadlines, in a fast-paced and small team atmosphere.
  • Current residency in the State of California is required.
  • Candidates are required to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ).
  • Familiar with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) process to support the team to improve and mature the process.
  • Basic knowledge about software development projects involving Angular, Oracle technologies, Java, GitHub and Application Programming Interface (API).
  • Willing to contribute as a full-stack developer performing a variety of tasks related to the analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of programming solutions and enhancements of applications. Knowledge of modern application technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, WS02 Identity management, APIs, Oracle PL/SQL, GitHub, JAVA, Spring Boot framework, etc.is required.
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies, ensuring adherence to Scrum practices and adapting to changing project requirements, following project boards, communicating and coordinating to remove impediments, and following code review processes to support the team deliver high-quality software.
  • Motivated team player, self-starter, creative thinker with a positive attitude.
