The Information Technology Assistant will be responsible for installing, upgrading, and maintaining computer hardware, network appliances, software, and peripheral equipment. The IT assistance will also assist in researching, planning, and implementing new technologies to improve member access and staff efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in technology related field
  • Script writing experience preferred
  • Obtain IT Certifications as needed for job duties
  • Ability to follow written or spoken instructions and work unsupervised
  • Basic knowledge of hardware and software in use by the credit union
  • Ability to multitask
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional in appearance, presentation, and demeanor
  • Respect the confidentiality of privileged information
  • Ability to travel to all ACU offices

Responsibilities

  • Accountability, punctuality, and ability to follow company guidelines.
  • Provide technical support and consultation in the use and operations of computer operations systems including system, user maintenance functions, and end use support.
  • Investigate new techniques, equipment, and data processing methods. Evaluate technical requirements for new or upgrades in hardware/software.
  • Maintain databases and libraries including systems security functions.
  • Maintain systems documentation according to applicable policies and standards.
  • Coordinate technology resources including main system, telecommunications network, telephone system(s) and personal computer connectivity.
  • Keep abreast of hardware and software developments.
  • Drive credit union owned vehicles or personal vehicle as required to perform duties.
  • Maintain building and personal security and safety upon entering or leaving a facility.
  • Notifies the AVP of IT concerning the identification of upgrades or repairs encountered during the normal course of business.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies for the IT department.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain computer software as directed.
  • Assist the AVP of IT with various projects.
  • Work trouble tickets as assigned by the AVP of IT.
  • Create, maintain, adjust employee network access as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
