About The Position

The Center for Global Development (CGD) is seeking an IT and Audio Visual Support Specialist to provide helpdesk and desktop user support. This role is essential for assisting the IT team in various functions, including managing user support for computers, printers, and phones, as well as setting up and supporting audio/visual equipment for events. The position requires a motivated self-starter who can work under the guidance of the IT Director and contribute to the organization's mission of inclusive development through technology support.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent or 1 year of prior relevant experience
• Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Motivated self-starter

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD
• Microsoft Intune
• Microsoft Server 2022 and later
• Knowledge of Mac OS
• Knowledge of Android and iOS devices
• Understanding of computer hardware (building or upgrading computers)
• Intermediate internet concepts (DNS, IP addressing, Email)
• Experience with web-based video streaming (YouTube, X/Twitter, Twitch)
• Video production

Responsibilities

• Provide first line IT support for CGD staff computers, printers, and phones
• Assist with monitoring of existing end user computer peripherals, software and available technology
• Assist with inventory and asset management
• Create network accounts
• Replace and image workstations as needed
• Setup audio and visual equipment for meetings and break down after
• Support and run audio/visual equipment for events in our 150-seat conference center
• Document work as needed
• Other duties as assigned
