About The Position

Plans, organizes, and evaluates the activities of managing and maintaining the ServiceNow platform for the Office of the Secretary of State. Collects requirements, builds user stories, works user stories in a Structures Agile Framework (SAFe), coordinating change and release of new functionality onto the platform. Performs duties across the ServiceNow platform involving, Configuration, User Management, Incident, Problem, and Change Management, Maintenance and Upgrades, and the maintenance of Integrations, Data Quality, as well as Security and Compliance with ServiceNow Platform governance and procedures.

Requirements

• Knowledge equivalent to the completion of two years of college with coursework in the computer science field OR 2.5 years of technical systems and/or programming experience.
• Working knowledge of systems design and implementation.
• Ability to organize facts and findings, analyze data logically, and present results clearly.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement in analyzing, appraising, evaluating, and solving problems.
• Willingness to travel and possession of a valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling items weighing up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and configures ServiceNow applications and modules according to business requirements.
• Resolves incidents related to ServiceNow functionality and performance.
• Manages user accounts, including creating, updating, and deactivating accounts as necessary.
• Performs regular maintenance tasks such as system backups, performance tuning, and monitoring.
• Configures and maintains integrations with other systems and third-party applications.
• Ensures data integrity by managing data imports, exports, and transformations.
• Implements and enforces security and policies to protect sensitive data.
• Submits monthly status reports of accomplishments and progress to the Platform Architect.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
