The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Permanent Information Systems Specialist 6 position. This position has the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, two days work from home, pending completion of trial service.   • Analyze complex vulnerability issues.
  • Perform forensic investigations.
  • Create effective solutions.
  • Assist the Office of Professional Standards in conducting investigations by gathering historical and real-time data.
  • Support information security through monitoring of system logs, performance, and access/identity controls.
  • Work with Enterprise Information Services (EIS) Data Center Services (DCS) partners to troubleshoot system problems.
  • Engage in contract and vendor management to ensure appropriate licensing and support from vendors.
  • Five (5) years of information systems experience in Microsoft Defender, Powershell, and Forensic analysis OR
  • An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND three (3) years of information systems experience in Microsoft Defender, Powershell, and Forensic analysis OR
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND one (1) year of information systems experience in Microsoft Defender, Powershell, and Forensic analysis.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Defender suite.
  • Tenable/Nessus for vulnerability management.
  • Azure Log Analytics Workspace.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
  • Ability to manage IT initiatives.
  • Demonstrated skill and ability to collaborate with teammates and build positive business relationships.
