The scope of this Contract requires specialized expertise in areas such as high-performance computing (HPC), automated processing systems, distributed software design, and secure hosting and networking solutions. The IT infrastructure consists of a mix of Linux, Windows, and UNIX. The environment includes a variety of network devices, server interconnections, mass storage solutions, and essential supporting infrastructure services. The services provided under this Contract support areas including HPC, infrastructure maintenance for HPC systems, networking, office automation, and the development of specialized software. AT&T has an opening for an Information Systems Security Officer: To support information assurance programs and ensure the security posture of mission critical systems. The ISSO will play a key role in supporting security authorization activities in alignment with program and government requirements. This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

Requirements

  • Experience implementing, enforcing, and maintaining information system security policies, standards and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessments, vulnerability analysis and security authorization process.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management (CM) of security software, hardware and firmware.
  • Ability to evaluate, document, and maintain compliance with DoD and ODNI security requirements.
  • Familiarity with Certification & Accreditation (C&A), System Security Plans (SSPs), and Risk Assessment Reports.
  • Proficiency in developing and updating security documentation, including traceability matrices (SRTMs).
  • Experience maintaining operational security posture for systems processing classified information.
  • Knowledge of user identification, authentication mechanisms, and access control best practices.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to support collaboration with senior security leaders and program managers.

  • Required Clearance: TS/SCI with both polygraphs within the last 7 years. (#ts/sci) (#both polygraphs)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required plus five (5) years experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Four (4) years of additional experience as an ISSO may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience is to include at least one (1) of the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher is required.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintain the operational security posture of assigned systems to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and security solution evaluations for classified systems.
  • Support system security authorization activities in compliance with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Provide configuration management (CM) for security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Develop, review, and maintain security documentation, including: System Security Plans (SSPs) Risk Assessment Reports Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages Security Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs)
  • Assist in the evaluation and remediation of security issues across systems and networks.
  • Provide support to senior ISSOs and Information System Security Managers (ISSMs).
  • Ensure systems comply with DoD, ODNI, and customer-specific information assurance requirements.
  • Support audits, inspections, and reviews by preparing accurate records and reports.
  • Monitor user access, authentication, and identification mechanisms to safeguard information systems.
  • Collaborate with Government personnel and stakeholders to resolve security concerns and improve processes.
