About The Position

Missile Solutions, a L3Harris Technologies Company, is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) that will assist the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in administrative duties related to the Information Systems (IS) security program. The ISSO will coordinate with the ISSM, Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Information Technology (IT) personnel to ensure information system compliance with government, company, and other applicable regulatory standards. Considered a senior professional with a strong knowledge of Cyber Intelligence that can work under general oversight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior ISSO experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior ISSO experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior ISSO experience.
  • Active US Secret Security Clearance.
  • Current DoD 8570 Baseline Certification, Level I or higher, (Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC, CASP CE, CISA, CISM, or CISSP).
  • Efficient, proactive, responsive team player with excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Substantial experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and implementing security controls.
  • Exp with DCSA is strongly preferred.
  • Exp with SPLUNK- audit tool is desired.
  • 2 years’ experience with Microsoft Windows and/or Linux system administration is preferred.
  • Familiarity with configuration control and change management (SCCM).
  • Experience with networking concepts (switches, network security, TACLANE).
  • Experience with security concepts (Data Loss Prevention, Active Directory, and Security Log Analysis).
  • Experience using security management software and applications.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and time sensitive deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct relevant audits on classified networks.
  • Protect, collect, and review audit records.
  • Ensure systems comply with security policies and procedures in the authorization package.
  • Verify users have proper security clearances and awareness of their responsibilities.
  • Report all security incidents to the ISSM.
  • Conduct periodic reviews for compliance with the authorization package.
  • Serves as a member of the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
  • Notify the ISSM of changes affecting system authorization.
  • Monitor system recovery processes for proper security restoration.
  • Maintain current IS security-related documentation.
