Leidos is excited to announce an exciting opportunity for an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) at Joint Base Langley–Eustis, VA! This role places you at the heart of critical Air Force and Intelligence Community cybersecurity operations. We’re seeking motivated professionals who are ready to elevate mission success and strengthen national defense. Candidates must already possess a current TS/SCI security clearance to be considered. As an ISSO, you will deliver expert Cybersecurity support services to assist the ACC Cybersecurity Chief Information Security Officer and unit Information System Security Officers (ISSO). Your work will directly contribute to maintaining a robust cybersecurity program that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of AF IC information resources—ensuring warfighters and decision‑makers can operate with confidence.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI security clearance on day 1
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or Associate’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • IAT Level II required
  • Experience working Assessment and Authorization documents, assessments, and Cybersecurity program tasks
  • Two (2) years of knowledge/experience with AF and IC plans and policies

Responsibilities

  • Develop local unit Cybersecurity programs and security plans in accordance with ACC, AF, IC, and DoD guidance.
  • Gather data, analyze compliance, and report results on the condition and progress of local unit Cybersecurity programs, security plans, POA&Ms, A&A workflow tools, patch management, IAVA compliance, DoD 8570.01M certifications, FISMA requirements, and ATOs to unit leadership and HHQs as directed.
  • Engage with local units and HHQ IISMs to provide Cybersecurity assessments, recommended courses of action, and solutions to commanders to strengthen their Cybersecurity posture.
  • Develop and deliver on‑the‑job training to Government civilians, contractors, and military personnel on IT security tools, policies, and procedures essential for protecting resources and meeting mission standards.
