About The Position

The Classified Cybersecurity Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) position at Lockheed Martin involves overseeing cybersecurity operations at the Cape Canaveral facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the security of sensitive information systems and contributes directly to national security. The ISSO will lead a team, manage compliance with security requirements, and engage in various aspects of cybersecurity, all while promoting a work-life balance and a family-first culture.

Requirements

  • Final Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security +) certification and ability to obtain IAM Level II within 6 months of hire.
  • Hands-on experience with industry standard Information Assurance tools.
  • Technical familiarity with Windows or UNIX-based operating systems, and their security requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) experience.
  • Experience working with ICD requirements, RMF implementation.
  • Experience with industry standard Information Assurance tools such as STIG Viewer, Nessus, and Splunk.
  • Experience performing security system hardening, analysis, vulnerability management, DISA STIGs.
  • Experience applying ICD 503 using the JSIG or NIST 800-53 on diverse computing platforms.
  • Current certifications in Network+, CCNA, Security+, CISSP, or others related to Networking and Cybersecurity.
  • Prior experience with Windows or Linux Operating Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day information system security operations including hardware and software implementations.
  • Carry out technical administration of information systems in accordance with internal and customer security requirements, primarily Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Upkeep, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events.
  • Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to address non-compliance in the allotted time frame.
  • Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan.
  • Balance competing priorities amongst multiple customers and programs.
  • Conduct auditing as a significant part of the role's responsibilities.
