About The Position

Information Systems Security Engineer The Opportunity: Are you looking for an opportunity to share your experience in network security, network scanning, and cloud security architecture to support our country's most important dynamic missions? As a systems security and network security engineer, you can identify the key security needs of a network, assess vulnerabilities, and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to lead the development and implementation of security solutions that will enable a cutting-edge U.S. government client that is at the forefront of cyber operations. On our team, you’ll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of network scanning tools, cybersecurity best practices, security control frameworks, and cybersecurity in containerized environments. You’ll use your curiosity for te chn ology and market trends to further research and develop security solutions. Using your knowledge and experience in containerization, cybersecurity principles, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, and other cloud methodologies, you’ll assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls. In this role, you’ll closely impact a government client with a high operational tempo by supporting network security and cybersecurity hygiene and enabling our national security through your expertise. What You’ll Work On: Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management. Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises. Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas. Leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise. Join us. The world can’t wait.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with network Security Control Frameworks to support accreditation and cybersecurity standards
  • 5+ years of experience with using and applying the National Institute for Standards and Te chn ology ( NIST )
  • Knowledge of technology security controls and the network accreditation process
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud networking providers, including Amazon Web Services ( AWS ) , Oracle, Micro sof t, or Google
  • Experience with scanning tools, including Nessus, Rapid7, or Nipper
  • Experience with monitoring and assessing risk on Plans of Action and Milestones ( POA & M ) items
  • Experience with analyzing scans, including NMAP, Vulnerability, and scan results
