MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience as an ISSE.
  • Experience in security solutioning supporting customers in the IC.
  • Possess an IAT I or level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M such as A+ or Security +
  • Possess strong speaking, writing, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to persuade, inspire and lead through influence

Nice To Haves

  • Prior ISSE experience with a Department of Defense (DoD) customer.
  • Experience with Splunk dashboards and analyzing data outputs for trends.
  • Additional cyber and/or IT certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CompTIA's Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP).

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a security engineer representative on teams for the design, development, implementation and/or integration of secure networking, computing, implementation and/or integration of Information Assurance (IA) architectures, systems, or system components and enclave environments
  • Develop and maintain system security certification and accreditation services for our Information Technology (IT) systems in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Advise on vulnerability management, conduct robust scanning practices, and implement mitigations, review and evaluate complex customer security issues and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Interface with customers and vendors to resolve security problems and provide information on containment or resolution, ensure issues and vulnerabilities have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the customer's requirements
  • Provide oversight and guidance on design, development, and continuous monitoring best practices for information systems
  • Apply knowledge of Information Assurance policies, procedures, and workforce structures to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments
  • Interact with the Intelligence Community (IC) customers and project team members to support the enforcement of secure designs of systems and architectures, support security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management using the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Identify overall security requirements for the proper handling and protection of government data, ensure security controls are adequately maintained, and system users adhere to policies
