Requirements

  • A TS/SCI with a polygraph is required.
  • Minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • In lieu of a degree, an additional five (5) years of relevant ISSE experience may be substituted
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level II certification required

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a security engineering representative on cross-functional teams supporting the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments
  • Contribute to the development and integration of Information Assurance (IA) architectures, systems, and components, ensuring alignment with mission and security requirements
  • Act as a primary security engineering representative when required, providing guidance and oversight across system lifecycle activities
  • Apply knowledge of IA policies, procedures, and workforce structures to design and implement secure, compliant systems and environments
  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure security requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented
  • Support the establishment and enforcement of trusted relationships between external systems, networks, and architectures
  • Perform security planning, risk assessments, risk analysis, and risk management activities to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Define and document security requirements to ensure proper handling, protection, and compliance of Government data
