About The Position

As a NetApp Systems Engineer, you are part of a team that is responsible for hardware implementation, OS implementation, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting in support of NetApp’s engineering labs & datacenters. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and address customer needs, develop implementation plans, and execute on those plans.   Essential Functions: System Engineers are responsible for a wide range of functions and expertise.  As a part of a team, you will help to ensure that team objectives, ticket Service Level Agreements (SLA), and project deadlines are met.   The essential functions of the team include: Plan, design, implement, and lead hardware & software installation projects. Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and debug hardware & software. Plan, conduct and direct the analysis of business problems to be solved.  May work with technical teams, to understand functional business needs and jointly develop solutions. Problem diagnosis and resolution. Ensure client satisfaction and client management. Reporting to customers and management on status, resources need, and projected outcomes.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other Information Systems Engineering team members to meet deadlines; ability to work independently as well.
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a development environment.
  • Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, implement, and lead hardware & software installation projects.
