Performs moderately difficult work of a technical nature in the analysis, evaluation, and development of information technology systems and procedures; prepares reports of findings and recommendations; and performs other related duties as required. There are two (2) permanent full-time vacancies with the Department of Information Technology, User Support - Applications Division in Hilo.

  • Conducts studies of work processes, procedures, and operations relating to the conversion of data to information technology systems.
  • Performs various fact-finding tasks and develops preliminary evaluations and recommendations.
  • Develops plans and procedures for implementing automation.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and makes recommendations on methods and procedures relating to assigned projects.
  • Designs and develops new forms for agencies to review.
  • May develop computer programs as a secondary assignment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to: graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree (scan and attach a copy of your official college transcript), and
  • one and one-half years (1 ½) of work experience in the research, analysis and design of information technology systems, and
  • possession of a valid State of Hawai`i driver's license (Class 3) or any other valid comparable driver's license at time of filing. (You will be required to submit your valid driver's license at time of hire).
  • Flexible Working Arrangements: Options may include alternate work schedules (4-10) and flexible working hours. (Not all Departments/Agencies participate and not all positions are eligible.)
