For over 40 years, SPL specializes in the development and cGMP compliant manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). SPL has an exciting opportunity to join the team as an Information Systems Administrator. Assist with day-to-day administration of user accounts for computer systems, network and software. Provide level 1 technical support for all business and laboratory computer network technology. Proactive in evaluating needs and recommending actions in a holistic systems approach. Maintains inventory, patching, policies, and procedures for optimal performance & control of the IT systems and software. This position reports to the Manager of Information Systems.

  • Manage and maintain administration of user accounts for all business and laboratory enterprise information systems. This includes Active Directory, Office 365, and proprietary systems.
  • Maintain documentation, policies, systems, methods, and procedures. Allowing for optimal performance and control of all business and lab technology systems.
  • Maintain inventory of all computers, peripherals, phone and spare parts.
  • Work with SPL staff to provide support through the helpdesk ticketing system. Documents and recommends actions for all computer systems and software, including upgrades, installation, training, and general troubleshooting.
  • Maintain backups of all business system servers, lab instrument hosts and key workstations.
  • Assist in developing programs to integrate and update software products and improve system compatibility, security, and data integrity.
  • Assist in validation of computer systems/software, maintaining GMP compliance, and working within company change management requirements
  • May be asked to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience/technical skills with Microsoft Windows workstations in a networked environment, inventory management and technical documentation, particularly in pharmaceutical or regulated environment is required.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in systems administration in enterprise environment required.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • 5+ years of systems administration in enterprise environment experience required.
  • Associate’s degree in computer science or other related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience preferred.
  • Associate's degree or above in a relevant discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience of Windows system administration in GxP/regulated environment preferred.
  • Associate's degree or above in a relevant discipline preferred.
  • 10+ years of Windows System administration in GxP/regulated environment experience preferred.
