About The Position
As an Information System Specialist at Expeditors, you will support the local branch and potentially other districts within our region with software, hardware, systems, servers, helpdesk, cybersecurity, and more. This role involves supporting end users on incidents logged in our online ticket system, assisting with regional requests, and providing basic level support for Windows server and Unix systems. You will also handle hardware installation, IT budget management, inventory, and procurement, as well as support network issues including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi. Additionally, you will coach and train end users on the usage of tools and applications, and provide training to branch management on system architecture and data management. The position requires on-call availability for after-hours IS issues and may involve travel to support other offices in the network. Other responsibilities include server room maintenance, automation and innovation tasks, procurement and asset management, audio/visual equipment maintenance, telecom administration, and disaster recovery planning.
