About The Position

By Light is hiring an Information System Security Specialist to join our Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS) program team in Fort Meade, MD. This is an exciting key position to a major Department of Defense initiative. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with security policies and establishing and maintaining the highest quality of Information Assurance (IA) while helping government clients meet their mission objectives.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance; Top Secret preferred
• Current 8570 IAT Level II or higher certified (any of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+ , GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP).
• Experience performing STIGs for either Windows or Linux based platforms.
• Firm working knowledge of Security Architectures

Nice To Haves

• DoD Experience a plus
• Experience administrating Host Based Security Solutions (HBSS) a plus
• Experience with Security Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process

Responsibilities

• Conducting vulnerability assessments of the assigned security infrastructure
• Provide mitigation recommendations/ security architecture reviews to Government decision makers
• Research/ Development/ Testing/ Implementation and Documentation changes to software
• Work with networking to close out open vulnerabilities
• Ensure all DISA STIGS are applied to networks, network devices and information systems where applicable
