About The Position

This position requires TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph. This position will perform duties as an Information Systems Security Officer at the Lockheed Martin Space facility in Herndon, Virginia. Requirements

  • TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
  • Have and maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or Higher or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Hands-on experience with industry standard Information Assurance tools.
  • Technical familiarity with Windows or UNIX-based operating systems, and their security requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Information Systems auditing experience.
  • Experience working with ICD 503 and/or DAAPAM.
  • Experience with industry standard Information Assurance tools such as STIG Viewer, Nessus, and Splunk.
  • Experience working with eMASS.
  • Experience performing; security system hardening, analysis, vulnerability management, DISA STIGs.
  • Prior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) or System Administration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day information system security operations including hardware and software implementations.
  • Carry out technical security administration of IS in accordance with internal LM and customer cybersecurity requirements, primarily the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Upkeep, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events.
  • Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to address non-compliance in the allotted time frame.
  • Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan.
  • Auditing is a large part of this role’s responsibility
