This position requires TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph. This position will perform duties as an Information Systems Security Officer at the Lockheed Martin Space facility in Herndon, Virginia. Requirements

TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
Have and maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or Higher or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Hands-on experience with industry standard Information Assurance tools.
Technical familiarity with Windows or UNIX-based operating systems, and their security requirements.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience.

Nice To Haves

Information Systems auditing experience.
Experience working with ICD 503 and/or DAAPAM.
Experience with industry standard Information Assurance tools such as STIG Viewer, Nessus, and Splunk.
Experience working with eMASS.
Experience performing; security system hardening, analysis, vulnerability management, DISA STIGs.
Prior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) or System Administration experience.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day information system security operations including hardware and software implementations.
Carry out technical security administration of IS in accordance with internal LM and customer cybersecurity requirements, primarily the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Upkeep, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events.
Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to address non-compliance in the allotted time frame.
Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan.
Auditing is a large part of this role’s responsibility
