About The Position

The Information System Security Manager II (ISSM2) provides cybersecurity governance, assessment, and compliance oversight for Naval control systems and industrial control system (ICS) environments. This role manages RMF activities, ensures secure system configurations, leads audits and continuous monitoring, and maintains system accreditation posture. The ISSM2 develops documentation, advises stakeholders, and ensures adherence to Navy cybersecurity policies to safeguard mission-critical HM&E and control system assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university OR CNSSI 4012 certificate OR AQD GA7 OR qualifying military coursework (NEC 2779/3372/W-3B-1500/A-4C-1340 or DoD equivalent).
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CASP, CAP, Security+, or similar commercial certifications.
  • Three (3) years of specialized experience in Specialty Area 72 - Information System Security Management.
  • Three (3) years supporting ICS or marine system design, implementation, or sustainment.
  • One (1) year of basic cybersecurity implementation in control systems.
  • Familiarity with control system component functionality and modular design.
  • Knowledge of network architecture components and industrial network communication protocols.
  • Deep understanding of RMF, A&A packages, and cybersecurity documentation.
  • Proficiency in STIG/SRG implementation, audits, and compliance tracking.
  • Understanding of ICS/OT cybersecurity principles, industrial network architectures, and ICS-specific risk considerations.
  • Ability to develop security policies, procedures, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Strong stakeholder coordination, briefing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

  • Develop cybersecurity policies, SOPs, process guidance, and system-specific security documentation.
  • Support cybersecurity awareness and training for system users and technical staff.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, IT, cybersecurity, operators) to ensure system security requirements are met.
  • Maintain compliance with Navy and DoD cybersecurity standards, RMF processes, and enterprise security directives.
  • Complete required Government-mandated training and maintain IAM Level II compliance per CSWF guidelines.
