The successful candidate for the Joint Mission Environment Testing Capability (JMETC) Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) position will be part of the KBR Cybersecurity team supporting the Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) in the development of new test and evaluation capabilities and specifically providing TRMC Cybersecurity engineering expertise. This position will be a part of a distributed cybersecurity team. This member will provide solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of senior expertise and creativity. This member will be an experienced and skilled professional in designing and implementing cybersecurity disciplines in information systems, applications enclaves, and networks. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity technologies, security protocols, risk management framework, and software development principles. They will be responsible for analyzing requirements, designing and implementing solutions. The ideal candidate has a diverse technical background in cybersecurity, network protection, software development, application security and must have strong experience of successfully collaborating within high-performing teams with multiple stakeholders. You will directly interface with DoD civilians and contractors to provide cybersecurity engineering support to the JMETC Secret Network and other networks.   • Defines information security requirements and their integration into information systems and its technology component through purposeful security design
  • Develop and implement security designs ensuring that the hardware, operating systems, applications all adequately address cyber security requirements and security controls
  • Identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established cybersecurity standards and regulations and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Implement, validate Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) requirements and or perform SRG assessments for all projects
  • Assist the Cybersecurity team on all projects from a technical perspective
  • Assists the Lead Technical Deputy on all Zero Trust Projects
  • Conduct risk analysis reviewing all applicable scanning, CVEs, research collaborating with system administrators to mitigate identified vulnerabilities and/or Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) as needed
  • Analyze customer requirements and identify the need for cybersecurity solutions. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organization's overall technology landscape
  • Create and maintain documentation for systems, enclaves, applications, including design documents, implementation guides, standard operating procedures, and approval paperwork
  • Active/current TS/SCI clearance is required
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and implementing cybersecurity in an IT environment
  • Certifications: DOD Security Clearance and must meet DoD 8140 Requirements for a Security Architect position
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity Devices, IDS, Firewall, etc.
  • Knowledge of networking architecture and infrastructure
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity Process and Approval for Special Access Programs (SAPs)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Advanced degree: A master's degree or higher in a related field
  • Certifications: CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSSLP, CISSP-ISSAP, and CISSP-ISSEP
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with industry standards, including NIST, FIPS, and others
