About The Position
Administers compute and storage systems and recommends improvements necessary to ensure operation of Choctaw Nation systems. You will report to the Information Systems Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or professional IT certification or 4 years related experience.
- Ability to perform complex tasks
- Experience managing, and troubleshooting system infrastructure based on best practices
- Working knowledge of server operating systems, active directory, and VMware.
- Must be comfortable working in an accountable and maintain flexible working hours
- 3 years’ experience supporting important IT infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Perform moderately, including enterprise storage arrays, fiber channel switches and Network Attached Storage (NAS).
- Perform moderately, including virtualization hardware, physical servers, and hosted systems.
- Assist and lead the tasks of assuring reliable and stable data storage management, security, backup, restoration, archiving and replication.
- Assure systems performance and stability.
- Assure systems security.
- Administer server OS, including Windows Server 2008, 2012+, and Redhat Linux
- Configure and maintain Windows Active Directory environments.
- Maintain and configure enterprise-wide VMware environments.
- Apply company procedures to resolve issues promptly.
- Analyze situational data to resolve issues or follow escalation chain.
- Coordinate maintenance schedule and notifications with internal IT teams
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
