About the position
The Information Services Intern position at J.M. Smucker Company offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various core areas of Information Services, including Business Area Vertical, Infrastructure and Support Services, Project Management Organization (PMO), and Governance. Interns will work in a hybrid environment, with a requirement of 30% in-office participation, and will engage in meaningful projects that contribute to the company's strategic priorities while fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to documenting, designing, and building deliverables as a Developer or Analyst in the Business Area Vertical.
- Collaborate with team members to procure, receive, store, install, test, and ship peripheral computer equipment and software in Infrastructure & Support Services.
- Assist the PMO team in organizing, facilitating, documenting, managing, and overseeing resources and tasks for successful project completion.
- Help manage risk and establish guidelines for the appropriate use of tools and technologies in Governance.
Requirements
- Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior standing with relevant coursework in Information Services, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with common software packages.
- Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
