This role will be evaluating the risk of network activities/architecture and it will include the responsibility for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to network security events, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data to align with the business goals. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in networking and cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in threat detection, incident response, and security technologies.

  • Monitor and analyze network traffic using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and other security tools.
  • Investigate security incidents and alerts to determine root cause and impact.
  • Collaborate with IT and Security Operations to implement and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts.
  • Develop and tune detection rules and alerts to improve threat visibility.
  • Maintain and improve network segmentation, access control, and secure network architecture.
  • Participate in incident response and forensic investigations.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
  • Document incidents, response actions, and risk assessments.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of network security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Think creatively; develop, design, and/or create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems or products including artistic contributions.
  • Strong, effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to multi task and plan all aspects of a project or process from inception to completion.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and OSI model.
  • Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, proxies, and other network security tools.
  • Knowledge of common attack vectors and mitigation techniques.
  • Competitive compensation range: $80000 - $110000/year (California).
