Job Summary: The IS Security Manager is responsible for establishing, operating, and continuously improving MTE's enterprise cybersecurity and information risk management strategy. This role protects MTE's electric grid, and information systems by managing cybersecurity risk in alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The Information Security Manager will work closely with MTE leadership to ensure resilience against cyber threats while complying with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Requirements

  • Encompass the three virtues of the Ideal Team Player (Humble, Hungry & People Smart).
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Must have at least 5 years in cybersecurity roles.
  • Must have at least 5 years in leadership positions.
  • Must have a CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent cybersecurity certification.
  • Strong background in risk management, incident response, and threat intelligence.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to cybersecurity.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer experience securing critical infrastructure, IT/OT environments, and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities
