About The Position

The Spring 2025 Information Security Internship at Colgate-Palmolive offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Global Information Technology (GIT) organization. This paid six-month internship, starting in January, allows interns to work closely with a team focused on offensive security practices, contributing to the company's Data Loss Prevention program and enhancing security technologies. Interns will integrate their academic knowledge with practical work experiences, preparing them for future careers in cybersecurity and information technology.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a graduation date of May 2025 or later.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Documentation of authorization to work in the United States, not requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Technical knowledge and skills, completed coursework, projects, or relevant work-related experience.
• Familiarity with scripting, Regex, basic networking, and PII, PCI, HIPAA, GDPR concepts is a plus.
• Flexible schedule, available to work up to 15 hours per week.
• Must be available to work hybrid at Colgate's Piscataway, NJ location.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the ongoing Data Loss Prevention program.
• Develop and enhance integrations with CASB, DLP policies, and Data Classification.
• Review incidents and alerts related to data security.
• Manage automated remediation of overshared file and folder resources identified.
• Utilize Splunk for alert searches, dashboard creation, and correlation searches.
