Summer 2026 - Information Security Intern
About The Position
Behind every digital transformation is a strong foundation of security. Our Information Security Internship Program offers hands-on experience in protecting the integrity of banking systems in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Over the course of this 10-week program, you'll work alongside experienced cybersecurity professionals to support critical initiatives and gain exposure to multiple areas within Information Security. This internship is designed to reinforce learning through meaningful projects that make a real impact.
Requirements
- College students or rising high school graduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA or better
- Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
- Energetic, organized, detail-oriented with proficiency in Microsoft 365 (including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams) and comfort using modern workplace technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective in both one-on-one and group settings
- Independent worker
- Ability to dedicate 35-40 hours per week to this intern program
- Ability to work in-office in Greenville, SC
- Must be able to pass a criminal background and credit check
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with security teams to understand and address emerging threats.
- Complete a research project on a cybersecurity topic relevant to the bank or an information security initiative that our Cybersecurity Council should be aware of.
- Present your findings to the Cybersecurity Council at the end of the program, showcasing your insights and contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Assist with tasks such as risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and security awareness efforts.
- Engage with end-users and stakeholders to understand business needs and help implement secure technology solutions.
