About The Position

Ulteig is seeking a motivated Information Security Intern to join our team for Summer 2026. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity efforts across a variety of tools, systems, and initiatives. You will work alongside experienced security professionals to help protect critical infrastructure, identify vulnerabilities, and strengthen our overall security posture. This is an exciting opportunity to build real-world cybersecurity skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while contributing to meaningful work that supports our people, clients, and communities.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • Strong interest in cybersecurity and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Familiarity with hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Must be available to work full-time during Summer 2026
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of information security policies and procedures
  • Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across systems and applications
  • Help develop and deliver security awareness and phishing training programs
  • Participate in security incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts
  • Assist with deployment and maintenance of security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, vulnerability management platforms)
  • Monitor and analyze security logs, alerts, and events
  • Support third-party vendor security risk assessments
  • Assist with identity and access management (IAM) processes and user access controls
  • Maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
