About The Position

The position involves independently applying security best practices to enhance and optimize systems, ensuring robust protection and efficiency, while beginning to understand and align security solutions with business objectives. The role requires partnering with peers and internal teams to drive security initiatives, contribute to cross-functional projects, and at times co-lead efforts to strengthen the security posture. Additionally, the candidate will analyze and resolve security challenges by adapting standard processes and exploring alternative approaches to address complex threats. The individual will influence the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the team through informed decision-making, potentially impacting other teams. Collaboration with other engineers to gather and incorporate feedback is essential for driving continuous improvements in security processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Independently apply security best practices to enhance and optimize systems.
  • Partner with peers and internal teams to drive security initiatives and contribute to cross-functional projects.
  • Analyze and resolve security challenges by adapting standard processes and exploring alternative approaches.
  • Influence the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the team through informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to gather and incorporate feedback for continuous improvements in security processes.
  • CA Administration: Issue and revoke certificates, monitor CA health and performance, manage CA configurations and policies, respond to certificate requests, and publish Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs).
  • HSM Administration: Monitor HSM health and performance, manage HSM access controls, apply firmware updates and security patches, perform key backups and recovery operations, and troubleshoot HSM issues.
  • CLM Automation: Develop and maintain scripts for automating certificate lifecycle processes, integrate CLM tools with other systems, and monitor and troubleshoot automation workflows.
  • Incident Response: Investigate and respond to security incidents related to certificates and HSMs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other teams to integrate certificate services, document processes and procedures for PKI and HSM management, and participate in security audits.
