Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in computer science, networking or equivalent proven work experience.
  • Must possess the Security+ certification or better within 180 days of hire.
  • Working knowledge of information technology hardware/software and issues relating to information security.
  • Working knowledge of network concepts as related to administering a secure environment.
  • Prior professional experience with information security or network administration including information security program analysis, development, and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Applies network security principals to the identification and resolution of network and security issues.
  • Conducts regular security monitoring and reporting to ensure adequate security defenses, systems and settings are in place to protect against intrusion, theft, destruction or misuse of credit union information as directed by the Information Security Officer.
  • Supports end user requests for technical assistance and analyzes requests for enhanced functionality including response to Help Desk requests.
  • Understands network and system vulnerabilities and layered security strategies in order to interpret scan results and work with business teams to drive remediation.
  • Performs all job functions with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency and professionalism.
