Information Security protects CHLA's data and information for patients, employees, research and all business functions. The Information Security Engineer will provide technical leadership and architectural expertise to ensure the security and protection of CHLA's information assets and information technology resources. This will include planning, designing, and implementing of security device solutions based on business and technical requirements while working with CHLA clinical staff and co-workers within the Information Services department. Research, develop and improve best practices to include changes in technology and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and HITECH as it pertains to CHLA goals and standards.
