We’re actively seeking a talented Information Security Engineer I Phishing Analysis & Response to join our Cyber Operations Team in Newport Beach, CA. As a Information Security Engineer I for Phishing Analysis & Response, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by contributing to our Security Monitoring service by assisting with operational tasks such as investigation analysis, alert monitoring, and internal customer support. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of 10 people in the Enterprise Functions division. Your colleagues will include analysts, engineers, and fellow cybersecurity professionals. How you’ll help move us forward: Perform analysis of reported phishing activity, coordinate response actions and report status to senior members of the team. Perform investigation of security alerts following established playbooks and escalate events of interest to senior team members. Follow and implement processes and procedures to support and mature the security monitoring service. Establish trust and business relationships with internal customers and other relevant stakeholders. The experience you bring: 0-2 years of experience within information security that includes experience within a Security Operations Center (SOC) Experience with the cybersecurity operations tools such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) Excellent written and oral communication skills Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Ability to utilize tools and analytical skills to plan and execute technical changes What makes you stand out: Relevant certifications such as Security+, GSEC, GISF, GSOC or equivalent experience and skills Online community profiles for cybersecurity training programs such as HacktheBox or TryHackMe You can be who you are. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience within information security that includes experience within a Security Operations Center (SOC)
