About The Position

Unilever seeks a strategic and collaborative Security Engagement Lead to embed cybersecurity across digital and operational ecosystems in the Americas. This role supports secure innovation and resilient business continuity across IT, OT, and IoT domains, including factories, warehouses, R&D centers, and acquired businesses.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of leadership in cybersecurity across global or complex environments.
  • Proven success in secure digital transformation.
  • Familiarity with IT, OT, cloud, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with NIST CSF and risk-based frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication (technical & non-technical).
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Cybersecurity architecture and operations.
  • Program/project management and change leadership.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and outcome tracking.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within multi-national CPG/FMCG firm.
  • Technical Degree and CISSP, CISA, CISM, OSCP (or similar) certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with CDIOs, Product Owners, and business leaders to integrate cybersecurity into transformation initiatives.
  • Represent business needs in cybersecurity strategy and product development.
  • Liaise with operational sites to align local execution with enterprise security goals.
  • Conduct cyber risk assessments (including third-party and insider risk).
  • Facilitate transparent risk conversations with actionable insights.
  • Align services with NIST CSF maturity targets and tiered risk models.
  • Lead deployment and optimization of security tools.
  • Coordinate incident response and continuous monitoring with SOCs.
  • Manage exceptions and support rapid recovery from cyber events.
  • Promote secure-by-design principles and automation.
  • Deliver tailored cyber awareness and training programs.
  • Position cybersecurity as a business enabler.
  • Act as Product Owner for engagement-driven cybersecurity solutions.
  • Define and prioritize product backlogs based on business needs.
  • Track product maturity, adoption, and value delivery.
