About The Position

The Information Security Compliance Analyst will help scale ARL:UT's compliance program to accommodate the growing and evolving needs of the organization and its many customers. The position will support the Information System Compliance Manager, the Information System Security Manager, and Communications Security Manager in carrying out reviewing the Laboratory’s Classified Information Security and COMSEC Programs. The analyst will collaborate with people both inside and outside of the organization, including system engineers, administrators, sponsors, and other organizations.

Requirements

  • HS/GED.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
  • Hold a current Security+ or IAM/IAT equivalent level certification, or will have completed upon start date.
  • Have two or more years working with the RMF, DAAPM, DAAG, NISPOM, JSIG or other equivalent security frameworks.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • Applicant must have a dynamic skill set, willing to work with new technologies, be highly organized and capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks and managing their time.
  • The position will require attention to detail, effective problem solving skills and excellent judgment.
  • Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with all groups of clients.

  • Applicant selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position. Employment will be contingent on selected applicant submitting application for access and receiving notification of eligibility within a time period to be specified in the job offer. If eligibility is confirmed within the specified period, employment must begin within 30 days of confirmation of eligibility. Eligibility for access to classified information must continue without interruption during employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
  • Previous experience as an Auditor, ISSO, ISSE, Security Architect, or Information Security Analyst.
  • Held cybersecurity positions in classified DoD environments for 4 or more years.
  • Have four or more years working with Linux environments.
  • Immediate eligibility for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the position.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Information Systems Compliance Manager in performing required IS compliance actions.
  • Responsible for ensuring classified systems follow government and ARL regulations while meeting program demands and operating in an accredited state.
  • Assist in daily IT governance, risk management, and compliance function.
  • Assist in providing support, and oversight compliance assurance, for the daily administration of information security measures in compliance with the NISPOM, DAAPM, DAAG, DISA, and other relevant system security requirements to include those under the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Responsible for assisting in ensuring that classified information systems meet the Risk Management Framework requirements for National Security computing environments as defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology 800-Series, and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency Assessment and Authorization Process Manual.
  • Assist in conducting periodic reviews, and self-assessments of classified information systems to ensure both government and ARL policy compliance.
  • Assists in the oversight of all classified COMSEC material and cryptographic keys in support of organizational missions.
  • Prepare and successfully implement proper accountability, handling, storage, packaging, shipment, and administration of all cryptographic materials.
  • Ordering and transfer of cryptographic keys, interfacing with the Central Office of Record.
  • Assist in the management of all procurement, fielding, and sustainment of Crypto/Keying material and devices supporting ARL program requirements.
  • Collaborate with and assist the ISSM/ISSO on the implementation of RMF requirements to support Authority to Operate activities to include equipment control, sanitization, writing security policy and procedures, completing continuous monitoring activities.
  • Other related functions as assigned.
