About The Position

We're looking for an Information Security Analyst to join our team in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. This isn't just a security role; it's a critical position focused on proactively protecting the reliable operation of the bulk electric systems and ensuring power gets to our customers. You'll be instrumental in elevating our security posture by standardizing our risk communication, forecasting and analyzing emerging risks, and strengthening our data security architecture. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of information security risk management, including frameworks like NIST RMF or ISO 27001.
  • Expertise in data security principles and architecture, with the ability to translate security concepts into practical designs.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to process raw data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working closely with architecture or development teams to embed security into the design phase of systems.
  • Proactive and adaptable, skilled at balancing security goals with stakeholder needs in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Standardize risk communication, making complex security concepts clear to everyone.
  • Forecast and analyze emerging risks, using data to anticipate threats before they impact our infrastructure.
  • Strengthen data security architecture, ensuring critical data is secure by design.
  • Perform supplier risk assessments to evaluate the security posture of third-party vendors and partners.
  • Collaborate with governance teams, including Internal Audit, Regulatory Compliance, and GRC, to ensure alignment and oversight of security controls.
  • Develop and refine security policies and standards that strengthen overall security posture.
  • Continuously monitor industry developments, emerging threats, and hazards to identify opportunities for enhancing security posture.
