General Purpose The Information Security Analyst position performs day to day monitoring of systems, users, and applications. This is an onsite job based out of Colorado and can be based out of Grand Junction or Rifle. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required as an essential function of this position. Performs day-to-day analysis for Information Security infractions and violations. Creates various reports, charts and other materials from multiple layers of data security. Monitors and stays up to date on current threat intelligence to anticipate breaches. Installs and updates information security products. Monitors system, user, and device activity. Develops security standards and best practices. Plans and implements security measures to protect systems, networks, and data. Analyzes and blocks threats using a variety of tools and methods. Monitors and analyzes infrastructure systems (Active Directory, Windows Servers, Applications, Data Security, and iSeries). Manages security awareness phishing simulations and responds to reported emails. Prepares current and useful documentation of systems and system changes. Works closely with Data Owners, Data Custodians and users to monitor systems. Works closely with other Information Security Analyst, the entire IT department, multiple outside departments, Alpine employees and software vendors. Work closely with vendors’ support personnel to resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Other Duties/Responsibilities: Works closely with training and location staff for information security awareness. Performs other duties as assigned.
