About The Position

The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is one of the largest trade associations in the nation, representing more than 300 heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), water heating, and commercial refrigeration manufacturers from all parts of the world. Ensuring human comfort, productivity, and safety while practicing environmental stewardship is the mission of AHRI. Through our certification program, standards, advocacy, and other activities, we strive to help save energy, improve productivity, and ensure a better environment. AHRI has an opening for an Information Security Analyst. This position plays a critical role in protecting the association’s member data, proprietary research, and digital platforms. The Information Security Analyst will monitor and respond to security threats, ensure compliance with data protection regulations, and support secure operations for membership systems, event platforms, and advocacy tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Industry Security Credential, such CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC 200, or equivalent.
  • Two to four years in information security or IT security roles.
  • Familiarity with association management systems and member data protection.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).

Nice To Haves

  • CISSP or CISM is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in nonprofit or association environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor association systems (AMS, CRM, event platforms) for security alerts and anomalies.
  • Investigate and respond to incidents impacting member data or online services.
  • Perform regular vulnerability scans on association websites, portals, and third-party integrations.
  • Conduct risk assessments for new member engagement tools, advocacy platforms, and event technologies.
  • Help deliver cybersecurity training for staff and member-facing teams.
  • Maintain and optimize security tools (SIEM, endpoint protection, firewalls).
  • Assist in evaluating secure integrations for association management systems.
