About The Position

Acts as a member of the information security team. Provides analysis and support for campus information security compliance requirements and objectives. The incumbent will work closely with team members, end users, and IITS staff to implement technologies and operational methods as well as evaluate compliance with CSU and campus information security policies and standards. As directed by the Information Security Officer, the position is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing information security projects. These projects may include working with the functional areas and end users to develop practices, controls and technologies required to secure campus information assets and comply with campus and CSU policy. Additionally, the incumbent will track and maintain compliance records, develop reports, and train users in information security topics. Other duties include Information Security Team responsibilities such as developing firewall rules, analyzing metrics, researching issues, and reporting results. Position Summary Information Security Analyst II This is a full-time, exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.
