About The Position

Information Security Analyst provides advanced technical expertise in support of the organization’s Information Security function and the protection of it's information assets and electronic infrastructure. Develops, implements and monitors security controls and services. Conducts periodic and ad hoc assessments, reviews and audits to ensure the effectiveness of SBL’s security program. Responds to incidents and maintains appropriate documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to departmental procedures and standard work processes.
  • Administers needed changes to procedure manuals and other documentation.
  • Assists with the development and delivery of Information Security awareness training.
  • Conducts risk assessments and other assurance activities to continually evaluate SBL’s operating environment, the organization’s compliance with security policy and procedure and the effectiveness of security controls. Participates in corrective action as appropriate.
  • Investigates security incidents and serves as a key resource in technical incident response for cyber security events. Ensures proper follow up and documentation for events
  • Maintains a high level of knowledge of the IT threat landscape, security industry trends, regulatory requirements and best practices to support continued advancement and improvement of the organizations information security function.
  • Monitors the performance and configuration of the organization’s security systems, alerts and vulnerability and threat intelligence resources. Notifies responsible parties of any problem indications and coordinates remediation activities.
  • Performs other duties and serves as a technical project resource as assigned.
  • Works closely with other Information System staff and serves as a technical project resource as assigned.
  • Works closely with the Information Security Officer and with Information Systems technical staff to develop, implement and administer technical security standards, controls, security services and tools to mitigate technology security risk.
