About The Position

This position performs advanced level work independently under the limited supervision of the Deputy Director of Early Learning, Division of Early Learning. The complex and difficult assignments assigned to this position require a substantial degree of independent activity to conduct performance for developing and implementing an information security plan that will protect the availability, data integrity and confidentiality for the Division of Early Learning.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of direct experience in the field of information technology/information security.

  • Knowledge of applications built on .NET architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, process, and tracks security access forms for requests and renewals.
  • Leads the development, documentation and maintenance of an information security program, including policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Monitors adherence to the policies and procedures and makes recommendations for appropriate actions.
  • Works with the Department’s IT teams on matters of technical security issues and design to support security best practices implementation at the network, development, and cloud level.
  • Provides design and architecture solutions for internal security systems.
  • Responsible for developing and promoting information security training activities for the division.
  • Maintains the Strategic and Operational Security Plan for the agency, pursuant to FAC 60GG-2 State of Florida Cybersecurity Standards)
  • Monitors changes to state and federal regulations and accreditation standards that impact information security and provides recommendations to the CIO and executive leadership on the need for policy and/or procedure updates.
  • Serves as the process owner for monitoring and validating audit compliance with all information security policies and procedures, ensuring consistent internal controls across the agency.
  • Manages and coordinates the Computer Security Incident Response Team to address and mitigate incidents.
  • Establishes and maintains a disaster recovery program that aligns with the Deparment’s Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plan.
  • Performs risk assessments, including the comprehensive risk assessment required by Section 282.318, F.S.
  • Travel may be required to perform assigned duties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
