About The Position

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Information Security Analyst 1 for Colorado Springs, Colorado . The following locations will also be considered: Remote . Be involved in projects with our Information Security Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. Core Responsibilities: An entry-level information security analyst works under the guidance of a senior analyst to plan and implement computer security responsibilities. Monitor the network for security breaches, investigate violations, prepare reports, and improve overall cybersecurity. Reviews and analyzes systems, platforms, applications, and their interfaces to quickly acquire system knowledge to understand the design and functionality. Identifies requirements, design, and test procedures that will ensure the system will perform as expected. Performs security assessments of systems, reviewing software with a focus on finding flaws and suggesting possible improvements. Documents analysis performed with resulting anomalies identified. Presents findings to peers, customers, and management. Monitors network usage, performance and ensures system availability and reliability. Communicates and collaborates with third-party vendors that provide services to ensure networks operate as per expectations.

Requirements

  • Technical writing experience and the ability to write technically and grammatically correct documentation.
  • Must be able to be self-directed and able to work independently and with a team; must be able to multi-task.
  • Must understand the value of open communication and have a track record of interacting effectively with stakeholders and team members.
  • Systems Engineering, Systems Design, and Troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Security , Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or MCSE a plus
