About The Position

The Information Receptionist (OA) position at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Tennessee is responsible for providing essential receptionist, office automation, and clerical support. Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level, or four years of education above high school, or a combination of both.
  • Experience performing various clerical/administrative duties in support of office operations.
  • Typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute with three or fewer errors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a legal or government office setting.
  • Familiarity with office automation software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Receive telephone calls and direct them appropriately.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide general information regarding office programs.
  • Use office automation tools to create documents, spreadsheets, copies, and folders.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail items.
  • Assist with other administrative functions as assigned by the supervisor.
