About The Position

Information Desk Volunteers welcome visitors and patients to Riverton Hospital. Volunteers provide a welcoming greeting to visitors, which helps ease the nervousness some may feel when coming into a hospital and provides reassurance and comfort. We are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic, dedicated, and committed to providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff Volunteers assist visitors and patients through providing information when entering the hospital, making occasional deliveries to patient rooms, providing directions and guidance throughout the hospital. Helping guests with wheelchairs when needed. This is an unpaid position that gives you the opportunity to use your talents, meet new people and experience the reward that comes from making a difference in people’s lives. Volunteer positions are currently available daily in three - to- four hour shifts between 9:00a.m.-9:00p.m. Volunteers may choose the day and time that works best with their schedule. Requirements

• A consecutive 80-hour (6-month) commitment, which entails volunteering one day per week for 3-4 hours
• Passing a Background Check
• submitting to a TB Test, and Immunization Check
• An annual flu vaccine will also required
• Volunteers must be at least 16 years-old and must be fully vaccinated
• Qualified volunteers will receive an e-mail inviting them to a Volunteer Introduction/Orientation Meeting
• Attending this meeting is mandatory toward becoming a volunteer
