About The Position

The Information Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring all aspects of information systems security and cyber compliance for the TADSS contract at Fort Hood. The position manages LAN connectivity, performs cyber/certification training, maintains system/server integrity, administers database and IT resources, and ensures adherence to U.S. Army and DoD information assurance policies. This individual is essential for protecting systems and networks, supporting warehouse and training operations, and serving as a subject matter expert for computer upgrades and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years’ progressive experience in computer/network operation and maintenance
  • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level I professional certification required
  • Proven experience administering Local Area Networks (LANs) and IT systems
  • Proficiency in performing upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and cybersecurity compliance
  • Strong knowledge of DoD/Army IA, OPSEC, AT Level I, iWATCH, and PII training requirements
  • Active SECRET clearance (DISS)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical writing/documentation skills
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Proficient English (written/verbal)
  • Professional, courteous, and able to interact with government staff
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, database interfaces)
  • Timely, accurate documentation and reporting skills
  • All personnel must identify themselves appropriately as contractors
  • Ability to perform onsite work in office/warehouse environment
  • Some light lifting (<30 lbs) and ability to move within facility/warehouse
  • Capable of working in standard climate-controlled and potentially non-climate-controlled settings

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain LAN and stand-alone systems in support of TADSS operations
  • Ensure Information Assurance policies are established and followed for all TSC systems
  • Perform server, database, system upgrades, maintenance, repair, and security tasks
  • Conduct and track all required cyber, OPSEC, AT Level I, and iWATCH training for contract staff
  • Input reports/data into systems such as TS-MATS and maintain related records
  • Provide technical support for system connectivity, resolve IT issues, and support user requirements
  • Interface with government site IT/security personnel for compliance and audits
  • Maintain all IA-related certification documentation
  • Ensure compliance with AR 25-2, DoD Directive/Manual 8570.01, and Army Training Certification Tracking System (ATCTS)
