About The Position

Ellumen, named a three-time Top Workplace by the Washington Post, is a small business headquartered in Silver Spring, MD. We provide a broad spectrum of information technology and ancillary services to government and commercial customers primarily within the healthcare delivery domain. We seek an experienced Information Assurance Specialist to support Ellumen's contract with the US Air Force for Medical Information Technology Network & Desktop Support Services located at the 375th Medical Group at Scott Air Force Base, IL. This position provides support services to the USAF clinical providers so that they can better serve our Military Community. This position is entirely onsite with no travel expected.

Requirements

  • US Citizen with Security+ certification and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs occasionally
  • Must be able to troubleshoot MS Office products, SharePoint, Genesis, and other medical applications used within the facility
  • Must have required vaccines to work in medical facility IAW DODI 6205_02, DHA-PI 605_34 and AFI48-110. (Seasonal Influenza, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, and Tdap, as well as a baseline tuberculosis)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HIPPA regulations and compliance preferred
  • Help desk support experience preferred
  • Previous work with govt. customers such as USAF or DoD preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Information Assurance (IA)/ Information Protection (IP) to ensure the availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality and non-repudiation of a secure IT infrastructure and information systems, and provide for restoration through protection, detection, and reaction capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all computer and information security guidelines and directives, including those defined by the Privacy Act, HIPAA, The Joint Commission, and applicable DoD and AF guidance.
  • Cybersecurity Program Management support
  • Information Technology (IT) Asset Management (ITAM). Assist with inventory management when needed.
  • Analyze network characteristics (e.g., traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput) and recommend procurement, removals, and modifications to network components.
  • Review monthly network vulnerability scan results of the organizational assets provided by the Government, identify and remedy all identified threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Open, track, and resolve work tickets with NCC, NOSC help desk and/or Global Service Center (GSC). Other duties as assigned.
  • Provide customer support to users as directed by Government.
