About The Position

GDIT is seeking an Information Assurance Associate to help support our upcoming Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) contract in Eielson Air Force Base near Fairbanks, AK. As an Information Assurance Associate, you will join our team to be the local representative to support the government information systems. The IA role will support the Risk Management Framework process, and participate in the certification, accreditation, continuous monitoring and Improvement processes.

Requirements

• Active Secret Security Clearance
• 1+ years of related experience
• Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
• Experience working in a DoD environment
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while still ensuring high quality of work.

Nice To Haves

• Incident management expertise with a track record of managing complex, multi-team responses
• ITIL 4 foundation and ITSM tools
• DOD 8140 (CASP+, CCNA Security, CCNP Security, CCSP, GCED, GCIA, GCLD, CISA, CISSP, GSLC), aka SecurityX

Responsibilities

• Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction
• Collaborates directly with AF client on IA related tasks
• Participates in network software upgrades, as well as certificate renewals and installs.
• Updates technical documentation; maintains and implements SOPs for network security.
