Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and manage the IT team in day-to-day operations, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth. Oversee problem management and troubleshooting activities, ensuring timely identification, analysis, and resolution of technical issues across systems, networks, and applications. Monitor IT policies, procedures, and standards to maintain system reliability, security, and efficiency. Coordinate and manage escalated technical incidents, ensuring root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions are implemented. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align IT initiatives with business goals and deliver proactive technology solutions. Manage team scheduling, workload distribution, and performance evaluations to ensure effective resource utilization and high-quality service delivery. Promote a culture of continuous learning and development by providing training, coaching, and hands-on support to help employees improve their technical and problem-solving skills. Support and oversee the onboarding and training of new IT staff and end users to ensure effective use of technology tools and systems. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance business operations, efficiency, and security. Maintain clear communication between IT staff and leadership to ensure transparency, alignment, and accountability in project execution and issue resolution.   • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is typically required.
  • Strong understanding of networking and server administration.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise systems, including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and database management systems.
  • Familiarity with information security principles, compliance frameworks, and data protection best practices.
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) practices, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Understanding of hardware and software lifecycle management and vendor relationships.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Competence in managing infrastructure, including networks, servers, endpoints, and enterprise applications.
  • Basic understanding of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware).
  • Solid grasp of cybersecurity practices, including access control, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical teams.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver IT initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users and executives.
  • Professional certifications are highly valued and can strengthen qualifications, including: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ for foundational technical and security knowledge
  • Information security management certifications (optional but beneficial)
