The Informatics Program Coordinator at the Massachusetts Veterans Home in Chelsea is responsible for planning, developing, and conducting training programs related to informatics. This role involves assessing training needs, consulting with technical personnel, and ensuring effective implementation of training programs. The coordinator will also manage various informatics processes, assist with IT onboarding, and oversee the maintenance of the facility's shared drive and security protocols.

  • Assist with IT onboarding and offboarding for new hires and current staff.
  • Track staff technology needs and manage desktop/devices distribution and operability.
  • Direct responsibility on two EMR committees regarding data collection and training needs.
  • Research and locate a third-party company for onsite basic computer training.
  • Assist with redesigns of programs focusing on the Shared Drive.
  • Lead the facility-wide scheduling software procurement process, including demos and implementation.
  • Follow up on IT issues after implementation and identify bottlenecks in informatics processes.
  • Identify device needs to assist the home through various projects.
  • Manage badge security and creation, and implement HealthStream and PolicyTech.
  • Input data into Mass Achieve for mandatory state training for employees.
  • Handle all network requests and changes for staff IT access needs.
  • Order and obtain cell phones, completing appropriate request forms.
  • Work with IT to create onboarding templates for all positions.
  • Maintain and clean up the Home's Shared Drive to address security issues.
  • Develop a system for offboarding staff from a technology/security standpoint.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
