EO/AA Under the direction of the nurse manager, this role plans, directs, and evaluates the overall informatics related operational functions of the department. Coordinates the activities of the department, including organizing, directing, and assigning work to other staff as needed. Critical thinking, creativity, and ability to function appropriately given a certain degree of latitude is required. The position serves as a lead with overall responsibility in implementing and supporting the technology tools that bring information to our nursing staff and make providing exceptional care to our patients more streamlined, compliant, and consistent. Incumbents in this position use their collective nursing experience, informatics experience and leadership experience to assist the Informatics Nurse Manager with the needs of the department. Incumbent may be assigned in areas such as orientation, leader development, change management, employee engagement, or other areas as needed. This position is not responsible for providing care to patients.
