Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Information Services leadership team in the role of Informaticist-Clinical Intermediate. This is a Direct Hire with Onsite Requirements, state-wide, as needed. Scope: The Strategic Growth Clinical Informatics team collaborates closely with the Clinical IS Project Manager, Strategic Activation and Delivery Project Manager, Infrastructure Project Manager and the broader project team to support the successful implementation of technology in new clinical spaces. The Strategic Growth CI participates in multiple project meetings to facilitate effective communication between end users and the technical build team and provides ongoing support to project managers by assisting with maintaining and monitoring the Activation Checklist to ensure coordinated and aligned project efforts. Key milestones supported by the Strategic Growth CI team include participation in clinical workgroups, end-user device validation, workflow validation related to technologies, onsite walkthroughs to confirm appropriate device placement, technical testing, day-in-the-life events, and go live activities.  Supports the decision-making of healthcare consumers, nurses, and other professionals in all roles and settings to achieve healthcare consumer safety and advocacy. Supports data analytics, including quality of care measures, to improve population health outcomes and global health. Utilizes clinical nursing and process knowledge to facilitate the design, validation, and implementation support of future components of the clinical information system. Assist in identifying and addressing workflow gaps to improve efficiencies, solve complex issues and incorporate quality measures. Participates in the development and execution of the clinical integration and improvement strategies. Communicates and promotes the use of informatics to clinical staff, medical executive committees, and any other designated individuals by presenting and discussing approaches to support safe patient-centered care. Considers the impact of technological changes on patient safety, health-care delivery, quality reporting and the nursing process. Supports the design and promotion of useful innovative information technologies that advance practice and achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, RN preferred.
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as a health care professional (e.g., Registered Nurse with an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license, Dietitian, Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist, or other).
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience required.
  • Previous experience in data systems is required.
  • Informatics related certification, or willingness to obtain certification within one year of employment.
