About The Position

CGI has an immediate need for a Informatica Cloud Engineer with SDET to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable. We're looking for a skilled, proactive, and detail-oriented professional who thrives in cloud-based environments and has a strong background in data management, automation, and infrastructure engineering. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, streamlining processes, and building scalable solutions in the cloud. You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies like Informatica's Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) and AWS services, helping to design, develop, and support cloud-based data solutions. Your work will directly impact how data is integrated, automated, and managed across our systems—making a real difference in operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), including the Self-Service Workbench.
  • Ability to design, develop, and configure cloud-based data integration solutions using Informatica.
  • Experience automating AWS infrastructure and deployment workflows using tools such as Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, or Python.
  • Strong experience supporting and troubleshooting issues in a 24/7 production environment, including root-cause analysis and incident management.
  • Strong experience in test design and execution for Informatica solutions, including: Functional testing of Informatica mappings, tasks, and data pipelines End-to-end integration testing across source systems, Informatica IDMC, and target platforms Data validation and reconciliation testing (row counts, transformations, schema validation, and data quality checks)
  • Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks using Python to validate Informatica workflows and data outputs.
  • Ability to design test strategies, test plans, and test cases for cloud-based data integration solutions.
  • Experience with regression testing to ensure stability across Informatica releases, configuration changes, and pipeline enhancements.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD-driven testing, integrating automated tests into GitLab pipelines.
  • Experience with test data management, including creating and maintaining test datasets for complex data scenarios.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alert validation using tools such as CloudWatch to verify pipeline health and SLA adherence.
  • Ability to support UAT, smoke testing, and post-deployment validation in production environments.
  • Proficiency in Python and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services, including: EC2 SSM CloudFormation CloudWatch Lambda
  • Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills.
  • Ability to clearly present technical and testing concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
